Thomas Waldman's Summary

I am passionate about recruitment. To me, there is no greater fulfillment than to have employers and talent find each other and benefit from their relationship

I feel privileged to have worked for great brands such as Randstad, Vodafone, Linkedin and many others in the past. They have enabled me to work on all aspects of recruitment. Through those experiences I have developed a strong vision on what talent acquisition should look like.

After starting my own company in 2007 and selling it in 2010, I got back into doing what I do best; Strategic corporate recruitment. At the moment I am a recruitment manager with comScore, responsible for IT, sales and consultancy roles throughout the EMEA and APAC regions. I manage a team that includes both contractors and fulltime recruiters.

I hope that reading my profile gives you the information you need, do not hesitate to ask for more. You can reach me on +31654670255.

Managing consultant

Findwell BV

Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Staffing and Recruiting industry

May 2010February 2011 (10 months) Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

At Findwell we believed that the only people that can properly convince talent to join your company are your own recruiters. Only your own recruiter is able to provide candidates with an insight of their career possibilities. Only your own people really live your brand. Findwell strives to create an optimal process for your recruitment department to excell. Through consultancy, training, purchasing and support we'll help you create a team that is cost efficient, fast and ready for any vacancy that might arise in your company.

As a managing consultant and shareholder I've helped shape the company and it's propositions. I managed our Searchdesk and was Findwell's principle trainer. My experience in recruitment and social media has allowed me to fully grasp what a recruitment department is capable of achieving if organised in the right way.

In November 2010, SearchN® and Findwell merged their activities. as a result of the merger I was temporarily appointed Operational Director of SearchN®. Responsible for team management and product development I participated in RPO projects for several clients.

Temporarily replaced a colleague on sick leave, I've been asked to focus solely on building a long term marketing and communications strategy for Textkernel's European HR and Recruitment propositions.

I really liked working on Textkernel's CV parsing and jobmarket analysis products as they provide recruiters with valuable insights and eliminate data entry with cutting edge yet easy to use solutions.

Owner/Director

21vijf

February 2008May 2010 (2 years 4 months)

I've shared my passion for online recruitment with several companies. Training or presenting both personal and employer branding as well as online search strategy and social network sourcing.

I believe training is only useful if one is able to translate it to results right away. I use real life cases and hands on learning during these sessions. Learning should be FUN!

Upon teaming up with Wouter Mooij, we rebranded 21vijf to be called Findwell.

Employer Brand Manager a.i.

Vodafone

Public Company; 10,001+ employees; VOD; Telecommunications industry

The great thing about this job is that Vodafone is a leader in communication strategy all around. I was given the chance to give shape to an employer proposition for one of the coolest brands around.

My main challenge here was to avoid riding every hip new trend in employer branding but to make sure Vodafone had a constructive long term employer branding and recruitment strategy. I was responsible for:

* vodafone recruitment website (nominee for best e-recruitment experience 2009);
* driving internal and external vacancy communication programs;
* decrease cost per hire and cost per applicants;
* purchasing online advertising (major contracts with monster, linkedin, and VNU);
* monitoring markettrends;
* coaching recruiters on use of advertising and internet search.

March 2008June 2008 (4 months)

Vodafone had asked me to participate in their large scale recruitment campaign brought on by the opening of a second head office in Amsterdam. I was part of the team that had 6 months time to fill over 200 vacancies. We did search, advertising, selection interviews job offers and everything else recruitment related. A great project and a great team to be a part of.

After succesfully finishing the campaign as a recruiter I moved on to become employer brand manager with Vodafone.
